Mark your calendars for Sunday May 1st, 2011. It’s time for the annual Spring Arts and Music Festival in Hoboken. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. check out booths set up by over 300 artists, crafters, local businesses, restaurants, food vendors and more. There are also 3 stages of live music featuring performances by Ian Hunter & The Rant Band, The Baseball Project (with Peter Buck and Scott McCaughey of REM), Bern & The Brights, The Pretty Babies (a Blondie cover band) and more!
The festival is on Washington Street between Observer Highway and 7th Street. Fine artists selling oil paintings, watercolors, sculpture, and mixed media are located between 2nd and 3rd Street. Crafters will be selling handmade pottery, metalwork, wood items, glass, jewelry, etc. There’s even a kids area on 3rd Street with rides, games, activities, balloons, face painting and live performances. The Art and Music Festival is steps from Hoboken Terminal, admission is free and the event is rain or shine, so why not go and see what Hoboken has to offer?
